egami image

    hi i have a et 5000 with the latest vix image and bootloader, but i want to put the egami image back on my box i liked it better, is this possible?

    I have an ET9000 and was running EGAMI for the last year, and decided to try out latest images over the last few weeks. To do that I had to upgrade the bootloader and I used the version dated 10/2/2011. Tried a number of images (ViX 2.1/2.3, HDFreaks, DreamboxUK, openAAF among others), but was able to reload EGAMI each time - needed to see the rugby at the weekends.
    Had to do 2 things - 1) change folder name from et9000 to et9x00 on usb stick when flashing, and 2) remove the file boot.bin (a small 1k file) from et9x00 folder.


    So for me it worked no problem, however not sure if ET5000 is the same as ET9000!


    BTW I am currently using openAAF and so far it works for me.
