Depending on the image place the ipk file onto a USB stick and insert it into the receiver. you should then be asked if you wish to install the file.

I have yet to see this method fail on any solo image, once installed you will soon be able to reset the password.
I tried but its not possible to install it??? :(((

That depends on weather the image has the media scanner plugin installed and active, I have in the past come across one or two that did not and as such would not install a file in this way.

format the stick and place the .ipk file directly onto the root of the stick, make sure it is not in any folders or compressed ie not in a winrar archive etc.
Also which image do you have on the receiver now ? as if your using ViX you will find a plugin in the feeds you can download directly to reset the password.
Tried on which and how did you do it ?
An Intro wouldnt go amiss either mate.
I put it on usb but when I put into my box it can not recognize it???
