Right? Thought you were talking about the skin on screen. Not the LED.
What normally shows there on other skins
-
I dont actually put any code in for skinning LEDs, so it should show the default LED skin
-
-
yes I have the latest lcd4linux and it works fine with any other skin, it shows whats on next scrolling the screen
-
Have test any other of KiddaC skins? if so do you have the same issues?
-
I write lots of custom components for my skins. That is probably the cause.
I don't have a box with a VFD, so I have never tested or skinned LED panels.
I just let default skin do its thang.
-
how do I do that
-
its is already doing that. I don't skin it so it will be using default.
Default on your box probably lives here.
/usr/share/enigma2/display/skin_display.xml
or somewhere similar. I don't know about VFD skins.
-
I also just notice you are asking the same question of Chabs sky q skin on TK to.
So whos skin are you using. Mine or Chabs.
-
I posted on the previous page that I was having an issue with my front LED panel since I updated the Sly Q skin. I also updated to latest OpenVIX.
I'm not getting "???" but I get what looks like all the pixels are on when the box is off. When it's on, depending on skin I choose, it will look the same or have a 50% size picon with the rest of the screen having all the pixels on.
The front panel is perfect on the default skins that I've tried.
I also installed LCD4Linux the other day but didn't know how to use it so gave up.

I am using OpenATV 6.4 Image. with slyk-q-1080 skin
I like to get more then 14 lines on 2nd epg page. It works fine with other skins that comes with the image. Looks like 14 lines are fixed with slyk-q-1080 skin.
Tried changing it in q-epg.xml but it does nothing.
Is it possible to get 18 lines, like skins that comes with the images?
Many thanks

q-epg.xml
<screen name="EPGSelection" position="0,0" size="1920,1080" backgroundColor="mid" flags="wfNoBorder">
this is the override
<applet type="onLayoutFinish">self["list"].instance.setItemHeight(45)</applet>
-
delete that applet line or change the itemheight of it
-
q-epg.xml
<screen name="EPGSelection" position="0,0" size="1920,1080" backgroundColor="mid" flags="wfNoBorder">
this is the override
<applet type="onLayoutFinish">self["list"].instance.setItemHeight(45)</applet>
Do I just replace it with <applet type="onLayoutFinish">self["list"].instance.setItemHeight(45)</applet>
-
EPGSelection is the screen name you need to look for in that file.
at the bottom of that screen is the above applet code.
Delete this entire line
<applet type="onLayoutFinish">self["list"].instance.setItemHeight(45)</applet>

or setItemHeight(35) there will give you 18 rows

Any skinner could help me to understand how it works a skin im trying to adapt a skin to enigma2.
Writing a skin from scratch is not easy at first. Even modifying an existing skin can be confusing.
Are you wanting to write a new skin or modify an existing skin.
It is much simpler if you work off a base skin.
default skin live here
/usr/share/enigma2/skin_default.xml
default skin graphics live here
/usr/share/enigma2/skin_default
Create a new folder in
/usr/share/enigma2/
calll it whatever
/usr/share/enigma2/mynewskin
copy skin_default.xml ( /usr/share/enigma2/skin_default.xml) to this folder and rename it skin.xml
copy the inner contents of default skin graphics folder (/usr/share/enigma2/skin_default) to your new skin folder
You now have a new skin that you can play around with.
If its your first skin. Highly recommend you design it in openskindesigner first.
-
or setItemHeight(35) there will give you 18 rows
Got it working and now getting 26 rows.
Here is the file if anyone interested.
Thanks.
