Smargo Server Setup Guide For NOOB

Hello Everyone,
I really like to Setup A Cccam server for Run few clients About 5 to 10
I have no idea About where to start I have few question if you can Help me,

1.Can i run this server without dreambox?
2.how do i setup oscam? what is the different between oscam and oscam emu?
3.Do i need a fiber internet Connection?

I couldn't find any post for noob,
Every thread is little bit harder to me

I will appreciate if some can help out to setup this server

1. Sure, an old, low spec laptop or pc, with a linux operating system like ubuntu or debian is all thats needed.

2. Setup depends on the card, equipment, operating system used. Once we know this we can direct you to whats needed.

Oscam-emu is a patch which can be applied to the oscam source code to give oscam some extra functionality. Download a softcam.key file, open it with notepad++, this should give you an idea what the extras are.

3. A minimum of 1-2 mb connection will be fine for a few clients. Though the more bandwidth you use the less stable the connection may be for clients.

Before you get ahead of yourself post which card you have in your other thread => Smargo Server Setup Guide For NOOB

I`ve seen it via pm, but i`m not so sure if it can be used in oscam.. Just because a pay server has it working doesn`t mean its open to the public.

Hopefully other members can confirm whether its working or not.
