Hello m8,
Is it true, as I have seen on another site, that the Zgemma is a clone?
No air digital used to make iCloud boxes that were clones, some had the attitude that they used to make clones that they will be doing the same with zgemma
Well, every beginning is difficult... ;) Look at DMM and how they used E1/DBox2 and so on... :)
However, for as long as I am following their firm - it's been great and innovative, even...
Why is there a problem with the USB stick being used? This is the only time I have encountered such a problem. I thought the USB standards were universal.
NOt all bootloaders are the same, not all kernels are the same, so no - you must find a stick that is compatible with your STB...
OK. I obviously don't know enought about it. I didn't think software was affected by the vehicle used, be it a USB stick, an SD card or CD/DVD. My understanding was the physical media was nothing more than a method of delivery and once the media conformed to the international standards then there would or should be no problem with the delivery. Having to find the right USB stick is an unexpected complication. I have tried a variety of Scandisk sticks as well as PNY - four different ones in total.
Is that problem peculiar to Zgemma or does it affect other manufacturers?
All.
Try smaller, not bigger than 8GB, FAT32 formatted, single partition, nothing else on them...
Thank you for your advice and patience. However, it is moot now as the box is banjaxed and only fit for the recycling bin.
The issue will persist with other boxes, as I said...
Thanks. Now I just need to figure out what the best replacement would be for the Zgemma Star 2S as I guess it is now obsolete.
