  • Hi, I am having real difficulty in trying to find out what is happening and why.

The problem is as follows: -

i). I have had one working provider for a little while now, which I have setup through Xtream -Editor.

ii). Two Enigma2 boxes (ZGemma H2s & VU+ Solo2) were setup using the XE Plugin.

iii). One Android Box (Nvidia Shield) was setup using TVIrl.

iii). Digibit VPN was setup using Whooshbuild VPN Plugin.

iv). All was working perfectly, until two days ago the streams stopped working on all boxes.

v). Whilst the M3U and EPG was downloaded on each box, the streams/video&sound stopped working.

vi). Strange thing is that the GSE iptv app on my mobile and laptop still work using the same xtream credentials and being on the same network/internet connection.

vii). I have reflashed one of the boxes and setup from scratch, but the same problem persists. M3U loads with all channels, EPG loads with all channels but no streams.

viii). I have then tried another providers M3U and EPG, but that same thing happens.

I have messaged the provider who has advised that the server is correct and working, hence why GSE works and the M3U loads on each device.

Could it be the device itself or the ISP blocking the connection, even when behind a VPN

  • Firstly have you got a multi user account. If not you can only view the stream on one device at a time.

If you are only viewing it on one device at a time, a particular device might not be shutting down the stream properly. Therefore it might still be playing in the background with out you realising. Any single user account you can still download the channels and epgs if it is active. But then similar to what you are describing you will not be able to play it if its active on another device.

Quick way to check this. Restart your internet. (reset your router). See if the stream then plays on another device.

Other things to look out for. Some providers only allow the stream to be played as a certain output stream type.

If your url ends in output=ts, try it with output=m3u8 or vice versa.

You can also try my iptv checker to see if the stream is still active, and how many users there is currently active.

You line might have been hacked and being used without your knowledge, so then that will stop you using it.

  • and more and more providers don't allow stream to be played behind a VPN. Your provider might have all of a sudden brought this feature in.

Turn off your VPN and see if it works.

  • Kiddac,

Thank you very much for your comprehensive response.

The subscription provides for two simultaneous feeds, but I will run through the checks suggested. I did restart the router yesterday, to no avail so it could be that the account has been hacked but just strange it still works in the GSE IPTV app.

I have also raised the query with my provider and await their response.

Thank you again! I will come back to report the outcome from my further work, hopefully, it will be resolved
