  • Hi there,

I'm new to the forum as of a couple of hours ago. I've managed to get my device up and running but I'm struggling to get the device to read my smart card. I've taken the credit card type card out of the old Polsat/Cyfrowy receiver and I've put it in my new DM900. But my device, which is running Openatv 6.2 does not seem to read it. From my understanding I have to install CCAM or something along them lines to get it up and running. Can anyone give me an idiots guide into how I should get the device to read my card. I know my way linux a bit but I'm just a complete noob when it comes these devices. Many thanks!!!!:head banger::thank_you2::brainfog::derpthink:

  • I've managed to get OSCAM up and running now :)

I'm not sure what configs I need to use to get the internal card reader on the dm900 on Cyfrowy. Any pointers? Many thanks!!!!!

  • I do hope things have changed and more experiences people may know but i thought polsat cards where paired to cam or receiver and you had to send them away to get the pairing info so you could put those details into your linux box to get it to work. I hope this is now not true.

  • Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question. After quite a bit of research I'm finally coming to the same conclusion. Is there anyway of extracting this information myself using some tools? Failing that where can I send the unit off to recover the codes? Or are there any generic codes I can use?

    thanks again! :)

  • I would not know where to send it but from what I can remember you send it away to poland and they either lift the chip or read a chip and it gives I think rsa/bk info that you then put into the box id in oscam. I think a long time ago i read it was something like £50-£75 pounds. It seemed expensive. I am sure some have done it and can guide you further.

  • ok thanks for the help guys. I think I will give it up with this method.

Are there companies out there that can provide a IPTV streaming service that I can use on my dreambox that cover Polish TV. I've had a quick look and most of them looking dodgy. I have a feeling this is not going to work either for me. Thanks!
