Did you try to change tuner settings in Setup - System - Customize - Preffered tuner to auto?
If you look at his screenshots there is no installed tuner to find.
I suggest he open upd the STB and check that tuner has not slipped out of the slot
since they are plug and play. and turm on his DM if tuner stays ice cold its dead/burned

Why did not you? Change that option,so you know it is up to tuner or not.
If there are not results,then it my be a faulty tuner.
Generally faulty tuners are seen by the box and image/software, it there is a tuner hardware problem the problem appears when you do a scan of satellites as it will find no channels.
Not showing the tuner at all generally shows it's a driver / sim problem.

Thats a sim 2.01 so you are trying with correct images. but did you check the tuner while you have your box open?
Check the small bridge that the tuner is connected to also that all is in the slots and all is thight

Then you find the problem ;) put in to place an try and boot up your STB
Try Sim 1.0 image, like Toysoft's DE-OpenBlackHole 1.4 (Praline version SSL69 and SSL70),

If the DEO1.4 Praline versions SSL69 or 70 doesn't see your tuner, then you have the answer. If it sees the Tuner, then it's a Driver problem.
