So I'm thinking of setting up as in the title,
TBS 5580 USB Dual Tuner ( dvb-T2 / S2 )
Raspberry PI 4
Openelec or Libreelec.
My question is this:-
The tuner has 2 variants with or without CI slot. Are CI cards/slots still used or do I need the CI slot?
I'm in UK and not hugely interested in UKs biggest satellite broadcaster.
I'd assume that most boxes provided by the broadcasters are connected to internet where encryption can be managed without the use of cards. I understand cards are still used in rest of Europe.
