Changing the boot logos in Enigma2 can be done either using a dedicated plugin or manually by replacing the image files within the system directories.

Method 1: Using a Plugin (Recommended)

Many Enigma2 images feature a plugin called BootlogoChanger or Logomanager, which simplifies this process.

Install the Plugin: Search for the "BootlogoChanger" or a similar tool within your Enigma2 box’s extensions (plugins) menu and install it.
Download Logos: Download the desired boot logos from the internet (often in .mvi format) and save them onto a USB stick or directly into the /media/hdd/bootlogos or /media/cf/bootlogos folder on your receiver.
Start the Plugin: Open the installed plugin via your box’s menu.
Select the Logo: Choose the desired logo from the list of available files. There are different types of logos (e.g., bootlogo, bootlogo_wait, bootlogo_backdrop for the background).
Apply Changes: Confirm your selection (usually by pressing the green button) and save the changes. The box may require a full reboot for the new logo to appear.

Method 2: Manually Replacing the Files

If you do not have access to a plugin or wish to use a specific custom image, you can replace the files manually.

Connect: Connect to your Enigma2 box using an FTP client (e.g., FileZilla).
Locate Files: Navigate to the directory where the boot logos are stored. A common path is /var/share/tuxbox/enigma/pictures/. The exact path may vary depending on your specific image/firmware.
Prepare the Logo: Ensure your custom image meets the correct specifications (resolution, color depth, often .mvi format or .png depending on the image type).
Replace Files: Rename your new logo to match the standard filename (e.g., bootlogo.mvi or bootlogo_wait.mvi) and overwrite the existing file on the box. Be sure to back up the original files to your computer first in case you want to restore them later.
Reboot: Restart the Enigma2 interface or the entire box for the new logo to load.
