Zgemma H9 Twin

    Zgemma H9 Twin model just arrived and it looks awesome...


    It has an HDMI cable and WiFi, too, 2 x CI slots, a card reader, USB 2 port, mSD slot, SATA HDD slot into which one can plug one's HDD without opening the box.


    Be careful! Do not insert or remove the HDD while Zgemma H9 Twin is powered up! First switch it off, unplug the electrical cable, then remove the SATA HDD!!!

    I have a HGST 500GB HDD 2.5 inch and it fits just fine. I initialised it by the image that is in the machine... Mounted as /media/hdd.


    Inserted 16GB USB memory stick (Data Traveller 2.0) formatted by Windows 7 in FAT32 and mounted as /media/usb no problem.

    OpenATV 6.2 is in - not muchly interested.... I'll come back when I install PurE2... ;)

    So far so good, with PurE2... :)


    Sat TV is OK,

    Streaming is OK (Ciefp channel list, with IPTV channels),

    YIFY is OK,

    playback I still have to check out...

    Which plugin to avoid?

    Or at least which file to replace if/after one chooses to install that plugin (and how), please?

    I'm not sure which plugin it was. I have quite a few custom ones installed.

    However, the "bad" 7za file located in /usr/bin was only 40bytes (but not a symlink). The "good" file is 1.10MB.

    Just delete the bad one and upload a good one by FTP

    The correct file can be found by decompressing the rootfs.tar.bz2 using 7-zip. This file can be found in a newly downloaded zipped image file after unzipping it.

    After quite a test, for weeks now, I must say this is not a bad machine!!! Not at all... ;)

    J'ai acheté tout récemment un Zgemma H9Twin. J'ai essayé plusieurs images. La Pure E2 m'affichait un écran bleu dès que j'introduisait (machine éteinte) le CI+ Fransat. J'ai donc décidé de me mettre sous Open ATV 6.3 qui me semblait plus stable et surtout ne plantait pas. Tout fonctionne, l'oscam, le CI et le CI+ (avec CI+ helper) pour Fransat, mais pas ensemble. Dès que je mets mon CI+ Fransat ou le CI, l'oscam se bloque. Si je mets un CI et un CI+, les deux foirent ainsi que l'Oscam. J'ai pourtant attribué à chaque PCMCIA les providers respectfs. Pour le moment je m'en tire avec le multistream sur Fransat, mais j'imagine qu'il n'est pas éternel. Merci de sauver le peu de cheveux qui me restent...

    Oh, well, what about the logs? How are we to know what actually caused the BSOD?


    It is inferred that PurE2 is to be blamed but... oh, la-la, what a quick jump to conclusions that could be...


    Alors, if you want to have real hobbyist fun, install PurE2 on another partition and try again - but this time with full LOGS ON, please...

    I have openatv installed in slot 1, now I want openpli in slot 2, I also need to upload from recovery? Because I did and I still displayed boot and nothing else.

    I have no idea if OpenPLi have improved...


    But I can guarantee that PurE2 is awesome... ;)
