Which Enigma2 distribution do you use and which version ?
Which set-top box do you own ?
Do you mean when updating the plugin in the MENU ChocholousekPicons plugin? Or do you think when updating Enigma2 ?
Similar problems once existed in the case of .deb packages, but not in the case of .ipk.

So I need to see the debug-log file :-(. Stop Enigma via Shell, using "init 4" and then start debugging (in the case of OpenVisionE2 everything should work as in OpenPLi, but I don't know for sure) - i.e. run the plugin update. When the plugin will updated, send the resulting debug-log file ("/media/hdd/enigma2.log") to a private message - but before restarting Enigma - GUI !

However, this is probably a forgotten "import requests" line again. Since in OpenVisionE2 this module is also not the default part of Enigma and must be installed from the feed. After installing the new version, a plugin error will be displayed and it will not be loaded. I fixed it in the new version 2.1.200506.

Minor changes in the source code.
Fixed a bug in the non-existent Python module "requests", when the plugin refused to load into the list in the Plugin-MENU:
- it's a remnant of a function from previous source code
- the "requests" module was used to test the alternate function
Design:
- the list of selected satellites in the configuration menu has changed to abbreviated text with the number of selected satellites together
- added unicode circle character (emptied / filled) in the selection of satellite positions, for their better visibility
Localization:
- added missing dot in one sentence, in translation files
- improved Russian language (by FRAP)

I use your app on Gigablue HD Quad Plus with TeamBlue 6.4 but newer versions of your app cause a "blue screen of death". The latest version that works is 2.0.200410. All newer versions do not work and automatically restart enigma.
Can you fix it? Thnx

I would miss the interaction. Would it be possible to use remote SSH or at least TeamViewer ? Write me your Skype ID in a private message, for example. I need more info and more debugging - in the case of TeamBlue enigma (on Gigablue device only - which I do not own).
I don't know TeamBlue source code very well. TeamBlue uses PACKAGE_VERSION variable / module what seems to be a problem. In the case of TeamBlue there is probably an attempt to use the variable / module similar to the Dreambox enigma.
The PACKAGE_VERSION imported variable / module from enigma exists, but will provide only 2 values, instead of 3 values. I don't know why. Theoretically, it could also be a bug in TeamBlue firmware, I don't know for sure, um...
In the old plugin source code, it worked, because this error catching was simply ignored (which is not correct, because it may not work again with other Enigmas).

Hi Airmaxx. Unfortunately, terrestrial local or even cable broadcasting is a bigger problem, because small private providers usually change the TV channel packages very often. Chocholousek would also have to watch all changes in these small providers everywhere in Germany. There is a lot of it. Try to write to Chocholousek - here is a discussion thread for Chocholousek picons: Picons by Chocholoušek
However, I think the main purpose is to create picons for satellite channels. The others are just a bonus and in the world (not only in Germany) there are really a lot more.

Fixed bug in case of Enigma2 TeamBlue, on Gigablue devices - thanks to dejanf.
- there is a variable PACKAGE_VERSION imported from the module 'enigma', but instead of three values (version: major, minor, patch) it provides only two values and I don't know why

Yes, it works, but since you didn't answer, it's usually only amateur fix in my code ... without an adequate solution 😛.
It didn't help anyone or anyone 😇. Only for TeamBlue image in the case of Gigablue devices 😉.
Maybe it's a BUG in the TeamBlue image, I have no idea, but if so, we need to find out and then fix the BUG in the TeamBlue source code 🤔 (Github).

i tried downloading transparent picons and black picons but the same result appears
also i used 3 different images openatv6.4 ,openvix 5,pure 6.3

I would like a debug-log file, ideally from OpenATV. However, you must first enable debug logging in the GUI MENU in OpenATV and then restart the set-top box. When you use the plugin, any problems of the plugin will also be written to the debuglog. Then you can find this debuglog in the set top box, for example via an FTP connection, in the "/home/root/logs" folder.
However, from what you showed, everything looks fine. Please describe your problem in more detail. Because according to the screenshot, everything is OK. The only problem there I see is the time when trying to download a file... 125 seconds is really a lot for downloading a file from the internet. Or do you just have a slow internet connection ?
The picons are not unpacked because the plugin did not find anything needed to unpack (you are probably using the method of synchronizing pikons with your userbouqets files).

yes i use 4g conection but still slow especially this days
also i used the synchro with bouquets method as u said,
anyway i did downloaded ur picons directly from google drive and it went pretty smooth :love:

what kind of downloading do you use? rewrite or downloading new ones?

Maybe you have badly set parameters in the plugin-config. Do you have the correct directory set for picons ? As you can see in your screenshot, the files are downloaded but not unzipped because they are not needed. This means that they are already downloaded and unpacked and there is no need to rewrite them in the destination location (the directory you set in the Chocholousek Picons plugin).
BTW, the icons are not mine - the author is chocholousek. I'm just a plugin-code developer ;-).

i would love if the plugin has an option to ask before deleting unecessary picons
it just deleted about 2000 picons as far as i remember
but anyway ,i think i am just gonna stick to the old methods
download, unzip file, and its ready to go
ps: the first time i known the picons was through ur plugin thats why i thought its urs hhhh

There is such a possibility - the method of incremental updating. Set up an incremental update if you have enough disk space. Then the picons are downloaded, if they are newer than on the disk, they will be overwritten by newer ones. If the file does not exist on your disk at all, a new one will be written to the disk. If the files match, nothing happens at all. However, no picons are erased from your disc.

and how about the picon folder's name
no need to change it right ,so i leave it as it is "picon" ?
