    He was probaly asking because they seem to have moved all support for Pure2 to their own support forum.

    And if they are not going to continue their support for Pure2 users in this thread then it's better to close with a refreance

    to their new support forum. So that Pure2 users can get the correct help and support :)


    But this i am sure that gorski can answer better. It's just a friendly question

    I think this Thread can be still open !! The theme gorski is an other He did a very good job here but some people were apparently not satisfied with it so he stopped his support . Whoever wants to continue using his tips must ask in other places . The other Pur Team members will continue to help here, but we can't do it to the extent you were used to with gorski. We don't have the language skills or the time.

    I myself am an admin in the Home Forum and I always try to help here. But it is not so easy to do everything at the same time.

    After flashing the latest Version of Image (2.04.21) please check at first the DNS 1 status before restoring the settings


    If there is 0.0.0.0 please set it to your IP of the Router for Example Fritzbox to 192.168.178.1 and then start to restore settings and plugins

    jack1.9 and gorski I am all aware about the issue gorski hade and he did not deserve that. But we have also try to resolve this.

    I personal hade a very good talk with gorski and i do respect his decision to spend his time on your home forum giving his exellent support there

    to all Pure2 users.


    But if the decision is that this can't in any way be resolved and this thread can't be proper maintaned it's not faire to the Pure2 users that we keep this thread open. Then it's much better we close it and rather put in the redirect information to where they can get the proper support.


    My post is the nr 1146 in this thread and as an Admin you are very much aware of the fact that new users do not read through all post but go to the last page and from there ask their questions ;)


    I would be incredible happy if this matter would have been resolved and that my very dear personal friend gorski would return to maintain the Pure2 support threads. But as time have passed and decisions have been made. I think it's in the best interest for all Pure2 users if they get the support

    where gorski is active :)


    And gorski on behalf of the whole linuxsat-support community you have our sincere apology for any miss doing.

    Hello...look I am a relatively new ordinary member on this forum I have proven experience both as Mod and Admin on various other forums even though I am an english language UK person I was running Italian based forums using a different user name on those forums and have experienced this same situtation on those forums I can if needed give my well known user name from those forums to prove that I did this task....I did in the last few days join the other forum which friend gorski is prevalent on...trust me his presence and vast knowledge on this particular image is being badly missed...it's not worth loosing experience and more importantly members for something that might be trivial...and i'm a 70 year old guy who knows what he's talking about...Colin

    On a personal level, my box runs a pure2 6.5 version, but from 8 months ago, time is very short of late and i have turned into a "if it is not broke, don't fix it" kind of guy. So i am rarely on the "cutting edge" these days.

    Here the result after installing PurE2 on my Ultimo. After installation I have to remove the satellite xmi and replace with standard satellite xml to suite as I'm living in Asia region. Installation CAM very easy as everything is perform by remote control. I was suprised that video image was so clear and contrast were very good. Unfortunately I have to removed this image due tu my remote control is less responsive and shifiting form channel to channel quite slow.... I do not know the real issue but tested on other images seem to be okay.. I will try again once a new version availlable online. Thank you.

    No webif problem in 16.04 version on vu+4k. Flashed usb from scratch. No backup settings. All ok.

    Flash from scratch = from zero = no restoring settings (however some users restore settings and all is ok)
