    Zgemma H7 TIPS, HowTo

    7. November 2019

Open the front panel on the right of the box (there is the power button on the top left)

At the back is the ON OFF switch (white switch)

So switch on the power and press the power button at the front until Flash appears on the display

Flashing begins ... and takes about 3 minutes

    ----------------

Use USB stick for lashen, the folder "zgemma" must be on it and in the zgemma folder a folder "h7"

the image files are then in the h7 folder

    ---------------

How do you flash image via Telnet?

    Start Telnet

Copy image files to tmp and call the command: ofgwrite -m2 / tmp

So number is partition, 2,3 or 4

    ofgwrite -m2 / tmp

    ofgwrite -m3 / tmp

    ofgwrite -m4 / tmp

with neutrino you can also copy image to tmp, select menu serive update, local flashing and specify folder where files are eg tmp or usb stick - media / sda1 / zgemma / h7

    -----------------------------------------------

If you have a serial connection, you can use console tool like putty to interrupt the start-up process as an example

    Enter CTRL-C enter

Now Receiver stops and you can call up the respective boot partition, which is then only started once - nothing on files is changed

    Source code

    boot the first partiion:

    boot emmcflash0.kernel1 'root = / dev / mmcblk0p3 rw rootwait h7_4.boxmode = 1'

    second partition

    boot emmcflash0.kernel2 'root = / dev / mmcblk0p5 rw rootwait h7_4.boxmode = 1'

    third

    boot emmcflash0.kernel3 'root = / dev / mmcblk0p7 rw rootwait h7_4.boxmode = 1'

    fourth

    boot emmcflash0.kernel4 'root = / dev / mmcblk0p9 rw rootwait h7_4.boxmode = 1'

    Show all

    Flash instructions:

Disconnect the box from the power supply -> power switch at the back to off

Disconnect all other devices from USB during the process

Plug the update stick into one of the two USB 2.0 ports (rear) (note: the blue USB 3.0 port did not work for me)

Open the front flap, press and hold the power button!

Mains switch at the back on

If the update stick is recognized correctly, the message "FLSH" appears on the display

    now release the power button

the box now flashes automatically, takes about 2 minutes

then it reboots itself, the initial setup wizard appears

the update stick can now be removed> done

    Enjoy & Good luck
