The version works both internally and externally flash with the following in mind

First / the version is large in size and it is raw with additions. It will increase the size and fill the internal flash completely and will become heavy while dealing with it.

Secondly / a general rule. It is desirable that the installation of the developed versions and not the original on the external flash be protected for the device because it is less good in construction than the original version because the developed version is usually built by an individual. in linux terminal type this command

openssl passwd -6 -salt xyz  your password

the output will be sha-512 hashed password

then connect to box through telnet and type :

chmod 755 /etc/shadow
vi /etc/shadow

in first line modify it to be

root:{sha-512 password}:..........

then type :wq

login again with new password
