I don't notice any drop in video quality. Adjust the video resolution in YT settings according to your TV. Most of the videos in YT don't give a higher resolution than 1920 x 1080 anyway. If you see a drop in video quality on every video, then the problem is somewhere else.

If the video in YT is with this resolution (Soft Cell) in the original, it will be like that in the plugin, regardless if you set the highest one in the settings like 4K, FHD or HD.

You shouldn't worry about that. I also got the same error on a Live video (can't find which one) this morning, but I ignored it. It would be a problem if it was on most videos. Did you try to change the country in settings (Turkey). There is also the message 'maybe this video is not available in your country'. I tested it, this video opens in my player.

Too bad this still isn't sorted, but for anyone having Octagon or Uclan Ustym you can install denysOs and there work 2 versions of youtube, software hasnt been updated since may and all works perfectly. Watching youtube on that OS, just saying, maybe can help someone

To my VU it continues not to work. I have downloaded the last py3 from github, I made a new login from google page but the video are continuing not to open.

How can I debug the issue ?

Only method currently working for me is to download the videos and watch the recordings. Hardly ideal.

Most likely this is a problem on YouTube's side.It worked yesterday.Today nothing opens at all - neither my subscriptions nor public feeds.

after updating the image and reinstalling the plugin

With media player default, it's working fine on 4k

not exteplayer nor gstplayer

Upon forwarding by pressing 3 for 15 seconds, its fine. Audio and video are synced

Though, on pressing 5 to forward for 1 mint, it moves the video to 1 mint, but sound move to 15 seconds not synced together

And same for pressing 9 for 5 mints

Hope it fix soon

Disabling dash mp4 format isnt the fix cuz it down scale the video quality to 360p
