Unable to remove oscam-emu via UI or telnet / conflicting requests

Hi folks,

i'm running OpenPLi 7,2 and when i try to run this cmd in telnet to remove the previously installed oscam-emu, i get this:

would you have any ideas on how to resolve this? i'm not sure what this means (bearing in mind that i'm running a locked oscam in parallele but i never had this in the past).

re: locked oscam, this is a paid service for a private server that does not appear in the list of installed packages . i cannot add c-lines to it or use the softcam.key, hence i need the oscam emu.

i was previously able to use oscam-emu and oscam - using the autocam set up plug- and this is sth i want to reachieve.

the --force--remove does not seem to work either - it does not even recognised the cmd. this is really odd.

Probably best to then do it manually then mate, if you installed it with an ipk, use 7zip to extract the ipk several times from ipk to .tar to normal file type to see the file structure and where the files have been installed on your box, then go and delete them, then reboot box.

i suspect this would be under /etc/tuxbox/config and delete the oscam-emu folder.

unless i'm looking at the wrong directory, the ipk is still reported as installed :-(

who else from this forum has managed to manually remove the oscam-emu completely (on openpli)? or even better would have the following ipk: enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam-emu (git1825+c46c72d-r0.0)

For manually delete try to search in these places

usr / bin oscam

etc / tuxbox / config delete oscam folder

etc / initd oscam script

or if you install oscam - emu from feed Plugins - Remove ( red button ) - Cams - Oscam - emu ( uninstall )

thanks all for your feedback but even after following those manual removal recommendations, the message was still there and the plug in was still detected as installed -thus no possibility to reinstall it from feed plugins.

but as an alternative i installed the ncam plugin and i managed to have the set up as previous.

Indeed you can, i am failing to understand why this is happening, it has been a while since i was on PLI image, when i get some time i will have to try and see if i can replicate this issue.

Do you also have the "private" emu installed.... that is not showing in the list ?

It is the first message you get about "do not ask to lock" that is confusing........ there must be an entry in the softcam manger somewhere still for it to still be showing on your box....

To answer some of your other questions you raised

You can download the ipk to you box with this command:

the ipk should then be found at /home/root

if you wished to reinstall the plugin then try this command

this is madness, - i can download and see the ipk in the root directory but when i try to reinstall it, i get the same msg again

i'm considering giving up :-(

i am trying to have an automatic switch from oscam to ncam/emu for powervu/BISS keys (and never experienced issue) - however you raised a valid point: i removed the autocam plug, rebooted the system and then tried to remove oscam-emu (but the same).

i might have to wait for a more recent plugin version to be released and try to upgrade.

but until then, ncam does the trick.

I have a Vu Plus SE receiver on which the Black Hole image is installed.I installed enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam_11.711-emu-r798. I was excited by the possibilities offered by oscam created by Mohamed_OS for automatic coupling to cccam test lines. Unfortunately, the receiver works very well, the oscam does its job well only until you restart the receiver. From that moment on, the ability to automatically connect to the lines no longer works. This does not happen with any oscam restart, only when the receiver is restarted.
I have installed and reinstalled the image several times - same as oscam enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam_11.711-emu-r798, even enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam_11.715-emu-r798, receiver behavior is the same. After restarting it, the oscam loses its ability to connect to the test lines. Can anyone advise what I could do? Thanks.
