how to install oscam server on ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Open oscam.conf. Look under [webif]. Make sure you have this httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255,10.0.0.0-10.255.255.255,::1

Add this to oscam.conf:

[webif]
httpport                      = 8888
httpuser                      = user
httppwd                       = password
httpshowmeminfo               = 1
httpshowuserinfo              = 1
httpshowcacheexinfo           = 1
httpshowecminfo               = 1
httpshowloadinfo              = 1
httpallowed                   = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255,10.0.0.0-10.255.255.255,::1
http_status_log               = 1

Change htpport, httpuser and httppwd to your own login details.

I don`t think its necessary to keep changing the oscam binary. If you have a stable version stick with it, unless you require some new functionality.

I no longer run a server so can`t recommend which to use. Go for the latest version and see what its like.
