IPTV help please

Hi,

I've been trying to figure stuff out but have got a bit lost. I was hoping the experts on here might be able to help me by answering some questions.

I bought a DM800HD clone to play about with as i was interested in card sharing orignally but, as i've now found out you can't get UK in HD anymore and i haven't got a dish big enough for bein sports, i've decided to play about with IPTV again. I used Kodi some years ago but wasn't impressed, streams always failing, poor quality etc.

So, i've installed openpli 7.2 image, do i need to install an iptv plugin for that? If so, how?

Or, should i just add an m3u link via my ftp (idreamx)?

I don't mind paying for a service which works, doesn't cut out and is good quality (HD with DD) but, a few i've looked into ask for the mac address of my box, does this mean they can install everything i need from their end and if they do, do they update the epg (if there is one) daily? Also, isn't their a security risk to my network by giving the mac address out?

I suppose what i would like in an ideal world, is a tv guide like i'm used to with sky, that gets updated without me having to do anything. As i say, i don't mind paying for a good quality service.

few questions though. If I subscribe to an IPTV provider, once I’ve added their web link into your plugin, they’ll continually update streams from their end right? So I need do no more?

Also, do you have or know of, a video guide?

Anyway, i need a little more help now.

I haven't installed any of the recommended plugins yet, i just did an 'auto script' from the iptv provider to play about with it. However, whilst it worked to start with (although it took forever to load the playlist), i think i was tring to be clever and move the channels i wanted from the iptv bouquet to my own bouquet, then all i saw was numbers rather than channel names, in both the new bouquet and the original iptv bouquet. So, i deleted the 'iptv all channels' bouquet, including the iptv.sh under etc/enigma2 and have entered the script again via terminal on my mac, i can see the iptv playlist via idreamx and openwebif but, the channels are taking even longer to load now. Is there some sort of file conflict now?

Today I’m going to install both of your plugins KiddaC . Can you just tell me what directory I upload them to? I’m using idreamx.
