I do not have the box but (...for people whose box has neither power button at the back nor Standby button in front...):

    - download the Viper PurE2 v. 6.5 image to your PC > http://www.pur-e2.club/OU/images/index.php?dir=6.5/amiko/

    - unzip the archive to the / (root) folder of a compatible FAT32 formatted USB memory stick

    - rename the "noforce" folder into "force" and hit Enter button on your keyboard

    - properly unmount the USB stick from your PC (right click on USB stick > Eject command, wait to see the message "...safe...")

    - switch-off your Viper by taking the power cable out

    - put the USB stick in the Viper

    - switch it on and immediately press the green button on the remote control many times (until the word "UPDATE" appears on the decoder display?)

    - wait until you see "Done" message

    - switch-off your Viper by taking the power cable out and remove the USB stick

    - switch-on your Viper

    - configure your Viper as per your requirements!

So, the trick is - says Delfi/tromo - to keep pressing the GREEN BUTTON MANY, MANY TIMES quickly....

  • sorry gorski

but flashing an amiko a5 combo is only possible via an sd card or am i wrong

  • If it is not a dual OS (remember, I don't have it), then it's USB stick!

If it is dual boot - ask Delfi... I don't have it...

From what little I heard, these boxes are not that great with Droid, so dropped, for the most part, as it needs lots of RAM, which it doesn't have in most of our STBs... Especially problematic when Kodi is started, as it is RAM-hungry...

  • OK and how is that when it comes to Audio-Visual sync, video freezes, OSD/GUI flicker and so on?

  • So, there is another similar box, I believe buc61b has it...

He should tell us about specific stuff about that one. Probably the flashing tutorial above is for that one...?

  • Well, in my case i did this:

make sure ur usb works flashing
format usb fat32, extract files, folder must be named amiko

pres the green button serveral times until it apears update on display... wait the procedure untill it ends flashing

    good luck

I don't invite this sh!t, It just comes to me. I run, It runs after me...

  • Somewhere along this lines should be ok in Windows:

    a) One of these programs should be fine:
    http://www.pur-e2.club/OU/images/index.p…droid/SDwriter/
    or
    http://www.pur-e2.club/OU/images/index.p…-Win-Mac-Linux/
(Please do note that there are newer versions of the above programs available, therefore more reliable, etc...)

    b) Unzip the Linkdroid A5 image

    c) Use one of the above Win programs to write the *.img file on the micro SD card .

    d) Micro SD card should be some class 10 from a decent manufacturer (SanDisk, Samsung, Kingston), some faster UX class do not work ok as the bootloader is somewhat picky about this.

    e) Android on A5 should be up to date, in other words with the latest A5 support for Enigma2.

    f) With the box powered off (important!), insert the micro SD card.

    g) Power on the box, choose e2 on the bootmenu

    h) PurE2 will take some time to spread itself on the whole card, only on the 1st boot.

    i) In *-fnc plugins and for VOD/IPTV use gstreamer from serviceapp or internal *-fnc Menu.

    j) There will be some updates in the code for the box in the near future if all goes well.

    i) If I recall well only one tuner can be used at the time (DVB-S or DVB-C/T2) due to hw/sw restrictions.
