Dreambox AVS-P2 AVS-P16(AVS+) AVS2-P2 Codec Support

    Hi All,


    I would like to start by expressing my appreciation towards all the great content provided. The support of AVS/AVS+/AV2 is indeed an old topic. However, I am hoping that some clarification can be provided.


    What I have found so far include:

    - Hardware wise, Amlogic S922X does support AVS/AVS+/AV2

    - Software wise, support is not provided in Dreambox original firmware

    - Software support is not provided by OpenPLi, OpenATV, SatLodge, DMS, Newnigma2, GEMINI4 or CoreELEC

    - The only firmware known to have the support is Black Hole 3.0.9.D Multistream (Add Avs stream support*)


    My questions to everyone are:

    - Does the support remain in BlackHole 3.1.0 Multistream?

    - If Dreambox Two OpenBlackHole gets released sometime in the future, would AVS support be included?


    It would be greatly appreciated if someone can point me the right direction.

    BlackHole images are typically only made for Vu+ boxes even though derivatives for other boxes are sometimes available. I would not expect a release for Dreamboxes though.


    The hardware of the Two is quite good but is indeed let down by the software.

    Do you believe AVS-P2 AVS-P16(AVS+) AVS2-P2 will be included in the new OpenBlackhole for Dreambox Two?

    i asked for to Storm that works on the OpenBlackHole version for DreamOne and DreamTwo, but it seems present only on the official BlackHole (and not the Open). But we never know, as we have the enigma2 source, so it could happen... patience !
