Openvpn help really needed.

Guys this was the last thing i wanted to do but i really need help getting openvpn working on blackhole image. For 4 days i cannot get my configuration to work with black hole images.

Other images i can but i want the blackhole image to be working. For some reason with blackhole images in /etc/openvpn there are files and a keys folder that are not present on the other images such as vix openatv etc. When i install these images i just transfer my config files, start the openvpn if not already installed and voalla it works. But it will not work with blackhole.

I know its something to do with the files already present in the openvpn folder. I have tried many different tutorials and read 100's of threads trying to figure it out with no luck so please dont come back and say i need to alter the configs because i know this but i dont know how. I need a proper tutorial with someone who has working configs with PIA and the ultimo 4k. My configs are correct because they work on other images just not blackhole. Please guys i need help, Huge thanks.

I just dont understand why all those config and key files are present, thing is i have tried deleting them in different order but once you delete the keys folder and the server.conf file then i am unable to start openvpn. When i do start openvpn and its running with my configs transferred over then my ip will not change from its original. My eyes are like piss holes in snow with all the reading ive done :angry1:

Will installing this remove the contents from the openvpn folder that was preinstalled in the image?

But if you have it working on other images then it should work, it is obviously just another fault with blackhole

Backup your current image in case things go wrong

ftp the ipk to tmp and install with telnet command:

You can try find it by terminal command like this

find / -name openvpn

Then, if openvpn available, chek up is this file executable by command

/path_to_openvpn_file/openvpn --help

If you can see version of openvpn, find in google type of config for this version. It can be different, than configs in other images.

After running your 1st command please see pic. Not sure what to do next as im new to cmd etc. thanks. My version is 2.3.6 -r0

These are the files in the openvpn folder and inside the keys folder.

Just some more info, my box is currently on 3.1.0 but i have reflashed way back to 3.0.8 with the same issue. Here is where it gets me, last week i sold my ultimo 4k with 3.0.9.P image and my configs run just fine with that, no messing around with anything, i regretted selling my box so bought another one.

I also tried to install the ipk manually from above but got the same message saying incompatible architecture. I also always do a full reboot after any type of editing.

Here are my working config files shown below in the image, which ones in the openvpn folder should i edit?

Thanks for stepping in evo, if i delete the keys folder and the serverp2p.conf files then openvpn fails to start? but i will try this way again and report back. there is a log but i cant make heads or tails of it.

edit1: i have completely deleted all the files from the open vpn folder. i have ftpd my config files and done a full reboot. Openvpn will not start as the mentioned files are now deleted. Another point is that before i edit anything and just start openvpn it creates a new network adapter that wont adopt an ip address.
