I'm working on a project at the moment which is looking likely to involve Enigma2 based hardware. We are running OpenVIX currently and are just about to start connecting up a collection of boxes to create a network whereby there is a master box (VU+ Uno 4K SE) and the others (Zgemma H9S) act in client mode to receive and stream channels configured on the master.
It would be good to be able to do this using multicast to reduce bandwidth (we would likely have 5 or 6 of the clients running the same channel at the same time). Does anyone know of a plugin that can output this? We have 3 client boxes we are going to try and see what bandwidth is used up.
Also, we have a requirement to be able to scan transponders and save channels found remotely, either over a web UI or via a Windows app. We can do it using the remote and screenshot application on OpenWebIf, but as they will be scanning a specific transponder and not running an auto or blind scan its quite tedious to control over a VPN. Are there any apps out there that have this feature, and if not is it possible?
