DM500HD - OSCAM-EMU for NewNigma2 Unstable

    Help request for:
    DM500HD
    Newnigma2 unstable


    I am not able to add, the updated OSCam (EMU), to my Satellite receiver, with the above indicated Firmware.

    I installed this:

    enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam_11.689-emu-r798_all.ipk

    It was installed and activated.

    The files were placed in: / etc / tuxbox / config and in / etc / tuxbox / config / oscam-emu.

    Including "oscam.server".

    I am asking for your help for the correct installation of this Plugin, and others that are missing.

    I would suggest you download first the Oscam from the Cam feed of Newnigma.

    Then you are sure you get a compatible version for this older box.

    I do this. It works.

    But these Cam's have no update, like the rest of the software.


    The point, is that they have many stops.

    It is not normal. With the experience on my DM920UHD-4K, these stops do not happen with the same "oscam.server".

    For such an old box you can't compare performance, but if you have an more up to date oscam bin file you could try an replace

    the one in use now.


    Make sure it's for mipsel and rename if needed to the same name as the one located in /usr/bin

    Overwrite and restart Oscam and see if that works better.


    You can extract all .ipk files with 7zip. Just right click the ipk and extract

    Inside you find two more compressed files.

    Extract the data file

    Inside that file find the correct oscam bin file for mipsel and try.

    please try like this:


    If an already installed Oscam is to be replaced manually with a newer version, you can see the file name of the Oscam on the box in the directory / usr / bin, and name the new version on the PC exactly like the old one on the box.


    Stop the activated Oscam in the EMU menu, copy the new Oscam version from the PC to the box to / usr / bin via FTP and overwrite the old version on the box.

    The file must have execution rights (755) (right click> Attributes> 755).


    If the file on the box is overwritten with the new version, the Softcam can be switched on again in the EMU menu.

    I performed according to your instructions and seagen.

    Does not work. All files are correct, in the directories. But only Newnigma2's OSCam Unstable #11234 works.

    I will let it stay like this. I hardly use this DM500HD.
