    I think that its somewhat unclear in the information about OpenBlackhole 4.4

    Information say... *** Password needed for FTP/Telnet***

    This is true but you accully must first create a password. There is no default password

    So before you can access your Vu+ with above mention method follow this steps.


    1. Press Menu Button to open Main Menu.

    2. Now scroll to menu Setup and press OK button.

    3. Scroll to menu Network and press OK button.

    4. Here you find Password press Ok button to open this setting

    Now enter your own personal password and press GreenButton save it.

    Now you can login with ftp and telnet using this personal password you just created


    Hope this helps you, but this must be done before any attempts to access your Vu+ with ftp/telnet.

    or try like this:

    Your username is always root, as you're entering the root directory, on your VU+ receivers image. You just need to add a password:


    By going into the menu, setup, network, and c selecting password, you should have a virtual keyboard, which allows you to enter a password.


    Otherwise do it from your PC, by downloading PuTTY/FTP Prog.


    Start up PuTTY/FTP, enter your receivers IP Address, select the Telnet option, and open.


    Type in root, and press enter, on your keyboard.


    On the next line type in passwd, and press enter.


    Hit enter if your current password is blank, then type in your new password, it doesn't show anything being typed, but it is.

    Press enter and confirm your new password, ready
