  • hi!

I have openpli 8 installed on DM520 HD. I have a single smartcard plugged in.
the DM reads the smartcard fine, I can watch all programs directly on it
My second box is connected to my DM via newcamd. But it does not work.
    log level 0 says:

    2021/03/29 14:49:46 6AF559B0 c (ecm) 001 (0100@0001EB/5C00/145D/64:B93638DF05EFBF0A30C9F6C6C7683A60): rejected (1 ms) by lower_card (Invalid ecm type for card)
digging deeper with log level 4 shows:

    2021/03/29 14:51:36 372BA43A r (ecm) ECM for reader lower_card was bad/has a wrong chksum!

more complete logs are STARTLOG.txt (log level 0) and LOG-LEV4.txt (log level 4) and my complete configuration file is STARTLOG.txt

I am using the simplest config I could come up with : one user and one newcamd instance, but no luck. :unhappy::unhappy:
    - why is it working fine when watching directly on the DM520? for instance, see the log entry here which clearly says the ecm is "found":

    2021/03/29 15:13:49 4983AE2E c (ecm) dvbapiau (0100@0001EB/5C00/14BC/64:BA9D600AF8C6BF931D6441F15562D761): found (368 ms) by lower_card

    - why is it no working at all on my second box? Why do these log entries appears and what do they mean?
    - Is there any configuration I have missed?

PS: Running OpenPLi 8.0star (2021-02-26-develop) on Dream Multimedia DM520 HD + oscam-emu (NOT simple oscam)

  • Have you tried without the ratelimitecm - ratelimittime - ecmunique - srvidholdtime - cooldown parameters?

    Hi!
Glad you came to help master G
I did. In fact these are parameters I added, I started with minimal config and added them (I took note).

I remember having tweaked the ecm log format and after that the "wrong chksum" error was associated with a log entry containing "#CW:00000000000000000000" , normal ecm (for the dvbapiau of the box) would not have such a null CW and would be logged "found"

it was in [global] section, and the parameter was :
    ecmfmt = P: c:p:s:d:i:0 #ECM_L:l #CW=w HOP:j

I hope it helps to find the culprit

  • Are you using mgcamd on the client box?

Instead of newcamd, have you tried using a different protocol like CCcam?

Yes, I do use mgcamd on the client, it only supports cccam and mgcamd.

I have tried cccam but to no avail.

I too suspect that the client is the issue.

Is there a way to make the box connect and send mgcamd queries to itself? Much like ssh to localhost.
