Have you tried telnet via the openwebif plugin? Or with Putty that is pre-installed in windows?

on your DCC folder
rename dcc configuration settings
i my case it's dcc2
then restart dcc and start again
search router

it could be corrupt settings

if it install's on PC then i don't want it
if dcc v1.50 works for me why fix what's no broke

This is password problem.
set your password: Menu Setup>>System>>Network>>Password Setup>>Enter new password (with the TXT key you can use the virtual keyboard)>>
Save with the green button
You can log in immediately without having to restart the box.

your not using router
then i'd try new image
as you have said you may have uninstalled something from the box
id use openwebif and try and save as much as you can
ie oscam servers and account's
i allways save a config folder on my pc ( just in case )
If you have manage to remove telnet den re install busybox. I have attached it for you.
And as long as ftp is working there is no password issue. If this was the case you would not be able to login with ftp.
Use ftp and upload to your Dreambox. Then go to your Dreambox and use software manager to install the file
Rebbot and try again :)
if you have use of a linux distro on a virtualbox or pc
you can use above command's in pic
to telnet to your box
