How to upgrade

    Noob question, but I am trying to upgrade my Edision OS nino pro from OpenATV 6.1.

    I downloaded the 6.4 zip file and extracted to a USB key.

    I insert the key in the box, and restart.

    Nothing happens. The box just boots into 6.1 as normal.

    What is supposed to happen?

    I have tried pressing OK on the remote but no effect.

    Now copy the osninopro folder and its contents to the prepared update stick, make sure to copy it completely; it is best to eject the stick

    Format the USB stick in FAT32 in preparation



    Flash instructions:


    Unplug the power cable


    It is best to unplug all other USB devices during the process


    Connect the update stick to one of the two USB ports


    Plug in the power cable


    If the update stick is recognized correctly, the following appears on the connected TV screen: New firmware found!


    Press OK to flash


    now press the OK button on the remote control


    The box now flashes automatically,


    the progress can be followed on the display (message: FLSH) and also on the TV (duration approx. 3 minutes)


    it then reboots independently and the initial setup wizard appears


    the update stick can now be removed> done

    I was doing everything correctly, but there are 2 USB ports and I had a hard-drive connected to one.

    I simply had to remove it. "It is best to unplug all other USB devices during the process".
