DM800HDse with replaced tuner - DVB-C to DVB-S/S2. Tuner not detected.

Is it not possible to just replace the tuner with a new type? Any ideas to fix this or can I assume the new tuner is broken.

I suggest to you use dream elite 4.1 , to make sure the tuner is OK

Take the tuner out & reinsert

These can be temperamental sometimes

description says dreambox original tuner, and you putting it in a clone. May or may not work but just a guess :)

Without knowing it, I think the clone images are only using drivers for clone tuners. For the image to work, they have to include the driver for the original tuner.

Is there a way to install a original tuner driver?

you need to put original drivers, you take them from an original image

just ftp files ( modules) found in lib/modules

OR you can install original image via browser , and BEFORE booting .install clone bootloader via browser, then reboot

You should go to the Chinese used goods website to buy the tuner, all the tuners bought in China are the sim2-clone version.

try dreamelite original , not openpli, because it not dm official image

install original image via browser , and BEFORE booting .install clone bootloader via browser, then reboot

you must install clone bootloader BEFORE rebooting. otherwise you ll get 2nd loader ERROR
