  • A long time ago I was trying to be autonomous on this subject and I dedicated myself to reading some things. The many doubts I had and not having found a space to clarify them made me give up.

I just found this space with good information and I will try again.

Sorry for the very basic questions but I don't have a knowledge base that allows me to be on another level.

From what I understand, and it could be all wrong:

    1. To find Biss I need the CW. To find them i use this program: How To Find A Biss Keys using "CWBruteList"

    2. I can also use crypt8: < Post C-8 & .ts file Here >

In this case I have the C8 keys, from where I can extract the Cw. But how? What soft do I use?

    3. Once I have the Cw I can get to the Biss through the CW Finder from C8_data & C8 - checker: CW Finder from C8_data & C8 - checker checker /. Is there another soft to convert Cw to Biss?

    Is this the method?

Then I have another problem: recording the ts.file. I tried in 2 ways:

    1. Through Vlc on PC (by streaming from the box)

    2. Recording directly to the box disk and then transfer to PC.

I always have the same problem. No Cw Brute force i get: Encrypted packets not found.

    In Crypt8:

    Using all PIDs

    Using payload size: 184

    Using file limit: 4096 MByte

    File length: 550 MByte

    UsingFileLen: 577114880 bytes

    Reading file...

    Searching ...

    Time for searching Crypt8 = 0 sec.

And no keys... What am I doing wrong in the recording?

I use a Dreambox900 UHD. Sorry for the long post and my limited English. I hope someone has the time and patience to help me get there!!

Dreambox, and as far as i am aware any enigma2 STB dose not record the full transport stream.

Really you need a PC tuner card or USB tuner on a PC.

There is ways to get most PID's using DVBsnoop on some STB's but i am not sure which off the top of my head.

I have zero experience with Dreambox either, but if you want to try.... first try this command and report back the telnet log

    Code
opkg update && opkg install dvbsnoop
  • Thanks for your help!

okay good it would appear dreambox has a dvbsnop package or sorts

Now your going to have to do some reading, the end goal its to use dvbsnoop to record the transport stream to a location on the dreambox like /tmp or HDD

    see here:

dvbsnoop - DVB Stream Analyzer, MPEG Analyzer

    and here:

dvbsnoop - A DVB Stream Analyzer Tool, Examples List

this is the transport steam command

dvbsnoop - A DVB Stream Analyzer Tool, Example: MPEG Transport Stream

and from when i tested this myself, i keep these commands as notes in an old file..... BTW i did NOT ever get a useful recording on my VU ultimo4k.

So please let us know how you get on with your dm900......

old commands i tried when testing my VU stb, these may be usefull, or not....

    and from the help file

  • Hello! I have already installed dvbsnoop on my Octagon SF8008 and I do find pids with the above command of pidscan. But I don't know how to proceed next i mean how to record a .ts file. Do I need another software? I would be glad if anyone knows how to do it and share it with us.

    Thank you in advance!

  • Just wanted to say, I tried your list of codes on my Edision mio 4k Plus. All worked except for #5. I was able to capture the .ts and ran the file looking for powervu stuff. And with in 15 mins I was getting stuff. This way made the .ts file 1000x smaller and its the first time I've gotten a hit, been playing around with powervu for about a week. Thanks for the info.

that's good, so start from here

record a TS then try to find C8 from the ts. If works we can move to the next step
