hi!
can anyone tell me how to setup my reader for oscam? thanks!
Add these values to the reader:
protocol = mouse
device = /dev/ttyS0
ttyS0 could be 1, 2 or 3 depending on the port used. Scan the USB reader in the oscam webinterface to find out which port is being and change accordingly.
ok now i tried both 0 and 1, 2, and 3, but still the same log (see picture)
ok now i tried both 0 and 1, 2, and 3
Try device = /dev/ttyUSB0 instead of device = /dev/ttyS0

same problem...
but in the USB scan it is not detected, right?
I think need to install the drivers for this reader...

Doesn`t look like it.
The device = dev/ttyS0 value is what others on the forum have used successfully.
I`m not familiar with this reader. Can you change any settings on the device itself? Is there software that comes with it that allows any changes to be made?
You can download the software to setup the reader from the manufactor and also info on how to set it up proper.
If the reader is new you need to use your computer first to configure how to use it and in what mode (Smartmouse or Phoenix)
I have not the same but mine have a switch in the bottom for selecting program mode and working mode
Check if yours also have the same.
You might need the usbtoserial kernel module if not installed. (kernel-module-usbserial)
What box and image are you using?

but there are no switches, and I can't even set the frequency from the software
i use OpenPli 8.3
decoder: Octagon SF8008
Can you access the reader from your computer with the software??
Can you access the reader from your computer with the software??
it recognizes it perfectly and is ready to program the cards... (wafercard, funcard etc...)
You have to open the settings and not the programming.
There should be some default profiles to choose from
Choose "Dreambox" as you settings and save.
Make sure you have this software installed from the manufactor and use that http://www.infinityusb.com/def…ow=download&DownloadID=24

there is no "dreambox" entry (try to install the software) I can set the polarity for both phoneix or smartmouse, but once disconnected it returns again with a blue led (no configuration)
I think you need to install the drivers to make it work… the linux drivers found here (tgz) can be installed in the decoder?
Can you take a screenshoot of your software. There is nothing in the menu where you can select and install a module after you have
got it connected to your computer. The software goes into the systemtray on your computer when connected.
Re open from there and you shold now see under Tools menu the option to load modules
no programmer memory configuration, only via software with operating system
try and change the settings for reader in Oscam from /dev/ttyUSB0 to /dev/ttyS0 save and restart reader
Check the log if it's connecting

I tried all possible settings of oscam, but nothing. i think its due to the missing drivers
