kernel-module-rtl8192cu + firmware-rtl8192cu installed + box complete reboot
Then something isn't right. Maybe a conflict.
Try to remove 8192eu
- remove:
opkg remove firmware-rtl8192eu
opkg remove kernel-module-rt8192eu
opkg remove firmware-rtl8188eu
opkg remove kernel-module-rt8188eu
- and reinstall:
opkg install firmware-rtl8192cu --force-reinstall
opkg install kernel-module-rtl8192cu --force-reinstall
reboot
Previously, I had a problem with the gstplayer
This is a previous Fairbird reply.
CodeSo the problem lies in the hardware differences between devices. My device doesn't need to stop Enigma to change the settings, and they didn't change after I replaced them, and Enigma still works. While some devices, like yours, require stopping Enigma until the codes are changed, then restarting Enigma. I will update the scripts with the upcoming online updates and have the script stop Enigma (it's the only solution). -
I think the problem is the Barry Allen.
Brother, you amused me with your guesses about Barry Allen.. and the fact that it didn't bring you to the cape from all your manipulations with scattering drivers across image folders? what exactly is it from these actions? And if you look at the initially installed drivers, then the author of the image installed them by default, so you didn't see them in the plug-ins using the green button..I don't have any arrogance towards you, just don't write nonsense and back up your thoughts only with facts.Good luck to you!
-
What facts?
I posted a problem that happened to me on my device, nothing more, nothing less.
I said that there is a difference between devices, perhaps that is the reason.
What I know is that Barry Allen relies on the internal image in the drivers.
There is another problem that I have, and I didn't post it due to the large number of external comments.
-
I copied the driver from the Blackhole image,
( lib/firmware/ + lib/modules/3.14-1.17-dm920/kernel/drivers/net )
That's where your problem came from, but not with Barry Allen. And then you did the right thing, deleted the image where you messed up, and already in the newly installed one, you did everything correctly..
Well, you know what I'm telling you... that it's all about the "curvature of the hands", just not everyone can recognize their own mistakes.

Look.
What am I supposed to see here? you need to look at the entire list in modules.alias after finding out the vid/pid of your wi fi adapter.

I put the driver's name in my first reply and I know all the information about my Wi-Fi adapter

Attaching screenshots for eventual mistakes

Have tp-link WN823 N wifi usb adapter.
What is the vip/PID of your adapter? but judging from the user reviews on another forum, your driver -RTL8192cu or RTL8192eu
-
Vip pid ??? how on telnet ?
On the box it says:TL-WN823 N ( EU) ver 4.0
-
in case it helps, althoug not what you asked :
-
this is what Gemini says, for vers 3 but mine is vers 4
Linux (Debian 9.20) Support:
The TL-WN823N typically uses a Realtek chipset (often RTL8192EU). While TP-Link provides Linux drivers on their support pages, these might be beta versions or require manual compilation.
For Debian 9.20 (Stretch), which uses a kernel version around 4.9, the rtl8192eu driver is generally needed. Here's what you might encounter and how to approach it:
* Kernel Support: According to the Linux Hardware Database, the RTL8192EU chipset (used in many TL-WN823N versions, specifically v2/v3) is supported by kernel versions 4.9 and newer via the rtl8xxxu driver. Debian 9.20's kernel should provide some level of support.
* Firmware: You might need to install firmware-realtek package from the non-free repositories in Debian to ensure all necessary firmware is available.
* Compiling Drivers: If the adapter isn't recognized out-of-the-box or with the firmware-realtek package, you may need to compile a driver from source. TP-Link's support site often provides Linux drivers for specific hardware versions (e.g., TL-WN823N(EU)_V2_160315_Linux.zip for V2). There are also community-maintained drivers on GitHub (like Mange/rtl8192eu-linux-driver or clnhub/rtl8192eu-linux).

Forgot to add I have 3 drivers downloaded including RTL8192eu but don't know how to install them..all I see on the manual sudo commands

Install your adapter into your computer or laptop and look at the adapter's vid/pid in the properties..everything is much simpler than it seems..

Hope this is the rigt one : Hardware ids

here is a driver for your adapter, as I answered you in the post above.show the response to the eu command from the telnet:
after installing all the packages for the adapter to work, make a complete reboot of the receiver..

guess I was daydreaming whil looking into the folder.......thanks a lot

Don't forget to do it.
