No need for a Backup. Flash a clean image then add OSCam yourself.
Image ~ Commando 16.0 for DM500S or DM500C Release image 30.08.22

If you need further support go through the steps taken and provide a detailed description with screenshots if possible. Otherwise you will not get a precise and clear answer because nobody knows where to start helping.

There are no tools for starting oscam on this ancient receiver.
You must follow the instructions for adding oscam and the start.stop script, which allows you to start oscam from the softcam manager on the image itself.
The versions of oscam provided are compatible and have been tested.
