Check out the cables in the back of the positioner and on the motor first.
I have a few of the smr 99g’s good motors when working.

That's what I had to do one year, to bodge it for a few days until I could get it fixed. Hopefully it's just a wire on the positioner. A 2 minute fix……….🤔

I had to use a manual powered positioner to move the dish slowly until I got the satellite I was after.
Mine was caused by a cable on the positioner had “come off”
wire on positioner re done checked satellite coax cable all seem to be good.
unfortunately not many people in our area do satellite,and the the ones that do dont want to hear about motorised ,dont know why wish i could go back 20 years
