  • Hi,

I have a Fransat PC7 card that I bought from Amazon.

I am new to oscam, and Enigma2.

    I have these versions installed:

    oscam 11718

    oscam 11727-r799

    oscam 11581 ( came pre-installed with OpenVIX 6.4 )

but cannot get the card recognised.

I read that I need to use oscam 11727-r798 for Fransat, but cannot find this version anywere.

I added the reader details to /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam.server

    And rebooted.

I expected to see some messages when I inserted the Fransat card into the reader, but did not. Where should I see these messages? ( I am presuming that oscam is monitoring /dev/sci[0-9] somehow. )

I have enclosed a screenshot that shows the FRANSAT reader with:

    READER DEVICE ERROR
    (no entitlements)

Is the card reader is faulty, or does a device driver needs loading?

Of course, it is possible that my Oscam installation does not work fullstop....
