  • I have a list of free streams that work with vlc and using Dreamboxedit I created an IPTV bouquet then uploaded it to box.

Everything seems ok via webif interface, I can see the bouquet and the channels but when trying to open a channel it opens the first channel from the sattelite bouquet.

Also in the normal interface using the remote control I see nothing from this IPTV list, no channel nor the list itself.

The box is an Octagon SF8008 running latest version of OpenATV 7.3

  • Hi, send me one of your channels that doesn't work to see if it works for me and see the writing of the line in question, in pm if you don't want to put them in public...

  • I just converted your two channels and they both work well.....

This is what it looks like after conversion, it was me who added the names.....

    enigma 2 converter

    Convert M3U to Enigma2

I put the converted strings directly in my enigma2 lists....with DCC in /etc/enigma2

  • I did a fresh and clean install and now the IPTV works again.

If you are kind, can you please tell me how to prevent the box from readding channels that I delete ?

I have my list that I upload with dreamboxedit but every now and then when I download list from receiver I see a lot of new sattelite channels that I am sure I prevously deleted

  • I advise you to use Echanelizer rather than dreamboxedit and if you want free iptv channels, see apsattv....

    Apsattv.com Streams page

Afterwards, to see your channels, you can go with DCC in /etc/enigma2 and there you will find your TV packages, you can work directly in them....

Thanks, I tried echannelizer and the free version donesn't allow to do anything with IPTV, that's why I manually creatd my small list of free IPTV channles with dreamboxedit

  • yes, you are right, I found an old cracked version which worked very well, look in that direction for the channels, it's really better....Next, I don't really understand your problem of deleted channels which reappear??????

  • After fresh install, no channels of any type in box; I upload with dreamboxedit my list of channels and after a while if I use dreambox to retrieve channel list from drembox, the list contains hundreds of new channels marked with yellow as new channels, even I didn't do a manual scan of sattelite or anything else

  • When you install a new image, there should be no channels, except if they are already in the original or if you made a quick backup before and reinstalled initially by clicking yes when the question is asked... ..
