How to reduce the time of asking OSCAM-EMU for new keys (new ecm) ?

  • Hi :smiling face:

In OSCAM-EMU, in the Live Log, I see that a new key (new ecm) is delivered approximately every 12 seconds (on each channel, regardless of the viewing time, a new key (new ecm) is always delivered every 12 seconds), example below:

    Code
    2024/04/21 12:46:00 611455B1 c (ecm) user (1861@000000/0000/11FB/89:8B35E0CDC2843EAC36E2D0A3D9484225): (113 ms) by test (C/40/40/40) - TRAVELXP 4K
    2024/04/21 12:46:12 611455B1 c (ecm) user (1861@000000/0000/11FB/89:1DF57EE2BE30EBABFC67257F6494F27F): (187 ms) by test (C/40/40/40) - TRAVELXP 4K
    2024/04/21 12:46:24 611455B1 c (ecm) user (1861@000000/0000/11FB/89:1B1E463C0BE88FF30D1A9909C8A51A1F): (198 ms) by test (C/40/40/40) - TRAVELXP 4K
    2024/04/21 12:46:36 611455B1 c (ecm) user (1861@000000/0000/11FB/89:80457D520BE92F682FFA2C459113E7E3): (149 ms) by test (C/40/40/40) - TRAVELXP 4K

My question is whether it is possible to reduce the time of asking OSCAM-EMU for new keys (new ecm) from 12 seconds, e.g. to 5 seconds?

Maybe through some entry in the OSCAM-EMU configuration files or maybe due to some change in the OSCAM-EMU code?

Thank You very much in advance for Your professional help! :winking face:

    Look carefully at your log

The ecm time is 113ms - MILLI SECONDS

your log is reporting every 12 seconds

Oscam has a wiki, read the wiki to understand how to change these things

    OSCam/en – Streamboard Wiki

  • Can I change this 12 seconds interval?

I want speed up some channels where ecm times are for example 4231 ms and channel sometimes freeze.

I read the wiki and tried many many settings, but I couldn't change this 12-second interval.

I tried set waitime parametr on oscam.conf but this has no effect (the ecm times are lower, but the channel freeze even more).

I thought that if it is (12 seconds interval) constant and repeatable, it must definitely be set somewhere...?

All in all i want speed up ocam-emu ecm exchange.

  • You can't change the interval , but you can change the oscam. Samur oscam delivered every 7 seconds.

This is exactly what I was talking about. :goodpost1:

Thank you very much for your reply Panda555. :hugging face:

I will check Samur's OCAM. :smiling face:

Technically speaking, I was probably right, since in Samur's OCAM it always asks for a new ECM every 7 seconds, it is hidden somewhere in the OCAM.

Maybe there is a Master here who will reveal the secret of what to change, how and where, so that I can try different time interval settings myself, for example every 5 or 10 seconds? :smiling face with sunglasses:

  • You both are totally wrong..

Only the provider can change it.. your logs are not about the same provider.. each provider have diff.. 1861 are 12s, 098D are 7s, 1802 are 15s, sope 0500 are 9s, etc etc etc

And this can not be changed with oscam... never..

If you got times with 4000+ms, ask your line's provider.. bcause he sell you something that he don't really have...

    Regards

  • Thank You Qu4k3 for sharing your specialist knowledge. :smiling face:

  • I don't know about OSCam but I think Qu4k3 explained it to you quite well.

Get a new line and won't be any freezes.

So basically you're saying you can turn q bad line into great just based on changing settings, pretty sure the server / seller has a main point in that.

  • I would like to correct myself and agree with what Qu4k3 wrote. I never paid attention to the change of the interval of ecm keys, but this topic prompted me. Namely, each provider or card has its 'own' interval and you should not bother about it. I tested several channels (ORF+Sport, Skyde, TNTSAT, RTL, Prosieben...) and each one has a different interval. If your channels 'freeze', that's another story and topic.
