[New] Dreambox Play UHD

    When was the last update?

    The last update that I can see was version 6 from november last year that you can download onto usb. I tried to install that version on my box but the box came up with an error message saying the software on the box was newer than what i was trying to install.


    I tried to send a message to satco de who i think are new owners of the dreambox brand but i never got an answer. I also tried to send a message to the supplier via amazon.de but the contact us page fails.

    okey. Thats crazy. I bought mine from Amazon Germany.

    So did i and i sent it back but you have to fill out all the commerical export forms and pay for it to go back. They wont refund you until you can prove its on its way back. They gave me my money back and then refused to accept the goods back as they would have to to pay import tax on it. So the courier sent it back to me.

    You should never buy a receiver when it first comes out. It's best to wait to see if software will be released frequently. If you have to wait a year for a software release, you shouldn't buy it. I think this receiver is a complete failure.

    It depends if its supported well or not, there has not been any updates for about 4 months so its not looking good, but they may be working on it. It would be good if the people who now own the rights to the dreambox brand did actually converse with people.

    Guys, this is the old Dreambox "shit". Speculators bought the Dreambox brand to sell the last pallets of unsold DM9xx stock and this "miracle" that was once marketed as the DreamTV Mini Ultra HD and then rebranded the "invention" as the Dreambox Play UltraHD in the hope of luring people to finally get rid of it and at least make a little money on it.

    I think there is a difference though as the play has full access to the google play store and is running android tv. Not saying its a good box but i was hopefull. Funny Satco don't even seem to have the play on their website.


    One other thing though, within your notes above its says dream were bought to move the last pallets of stock, but these dreamboxes were manufactured for satco as its says so on the decals on the back.

    I think it's just the firmware version (Android version + sauce around it) that you have in the box. But I won't argue with you about that and you can also believe whatever you want. You have the freedom of choice.

    I wrote what I wanted and you can do whatever you see fit, it's your money.

    To be honest i sent mine back and got my money back but they also sent me the box back too. That's why i still have it.

    Wow. Now its came a new update. Disney works but log in from Phone. Also channels

    Dont seem to freeze.

    Only problem I have now is no vod or series appear but live channels is there and working fine. :smiling face:

    Well i will give mine a test tonight. I knew something would turn up the day after i bought another android box to play with from aliexpresss.

    hm strange. I will have a look. But I already did software update just like 4 daya ago,

    But today I found a new one there.

    And everything actully works.

    Only problem that happend is sometimes when you change app to stream something else then it wont play.

    But reboot and then its fine.

    And no channel freeze at all. I use both apps Dreambox play and tivimate app works like a charm.
