EPG Importer only one day of EPG data.

    I recently re-flashed my Mutant HD51 (enigma2) Openatv 7.4 installed EPG Importer and using my providers source for iptv. Previously this worked fine and offered a full 7 day epg. Now I only get one day of EPG data. Any ideas please?

    I have managed to find out the problem for the Bouquet Maker Xtream plugin lack of epg days, there is a setting to increase the number of days of epg, the default setting is 0.


    I still have a problem with Xstreamity with catch up TV, there's only two days of catch up days previously there was something like five days. Checked all the settings and I cannot find a way to increase the number of days with catch up tv. Is there a setting?

    Ok this is an issue with the multiple hybrid versions of xtream code panels providers are using nowadays.
    There are shitty free versions of the xtream codes api that many people are using which is based on a very old version of official xtream codes.

    When every provider was using an official version of xtream codes api, the epg would bring back a full epg.

    There was also an option to add in a query string to limit the number of epg days. i.e. ?next_days=5


    Nowadays its all a bit of a mess.

    Some providers only bring back 2 days worth of epg because they have 10000 pointless channels and you cant bring back full epg for this many channels as the file sizes would just be too big.

    Some providers will not download the epg if ?next_days= is added

    This is why bouquet maker has this option. 0 (zero) doesn't add the number of days.


    Bouquet maker xtream needs to download multiple days epg.

    Xstreamity doesn't need a full epg. Although you can long press epg to see a more complete epg.
    Also the option to see full epg is actually not based on the xmltv file. Its based on a different api call.


    Catchup is based on this above api call to match the programmes with a date and time.
    So not a lot I can do about that issue. If your provider is only showing 2 days of epg in this api call, then catchup is only going to show 2 days worth of programmes too.


    And if all of above sounds complicated. It actually is. There is no perfect solution to all this mess.

    There isn't anything actually wrong with my code. The issue is iptv providers adding 10000s of pointless worldwide channels thinking its better service. It actually makes it a crap provider and crap service.

    Does some one in the UK actually want anything else other than uk, sports channels and maybe US channels.

    Does any one other than greek, want greek channels
    Does any one other than Nordic, want swedish or danish channels.

    etc etc.


    IPTV is just a bloated mess of crap channels nobody wants nowadays.

    Find a better provider that provides quality channels that you are interest in not quantity.
