Edision mio + tuner issues

    Hello,

    I've Edision mio + and whatever images I use I've these following problems:

    1) both in disecq or in usals sometimes antenna don't move switching from a satellite position to another (or it gives no signal although it reaches position previously stored).

    2) when you switch from certain channels to others from a same satellite position it gives no signal. Here is a video to explain it better

    I have a Edison Mio and find similar problems ,I agree with the previous post OpenATV works best however its usually the settings file for me the channels just dont come on ,Ciefp settings works best for me and sometimes I turn on increased voltage in the Tuner Configuration this helps

    I use mostly TNAP6 and/or openvix on my mio4k+.

    I found ATV being slow (sometimes the wifi doesn't kikin until i open the network menu !),with a confusing menu.

    The design is also to "cold", but Aglare skin is much wormer.

    not that I complain, But that is my feeling.

    I do not recommend turning on "increased voltage" setting, unless you know what you are doing.

    I do not use the kernel for the tuner witch comes with the image. To weak.

    Instead I replace it with a modified one, and I can get ~3 or more db increase in the scanned signal.

    Is your modified kernel available to download,I for one would like an extra 3db on feed hunting ,the reason I bought the Edison is its claimed to have a sensitive tuner, thanks

    I would be quite happy to try openpli if you feel it meant stronger signal

    mini is a simple mio : 1 tuner only for satellite, no OLED fancy display, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface (but my friend is using a wifi adapter plugged in one usb port), 1gb ddr4 ram (vs 2gb in mio) so, a bit slower. But the cpu is the same, so it can use the modified driver, so there is no significant difference in the drivers; just no more gismos.

    it happens also with this: tuning a satellite channel and I can watch it normally, swtich to iptv, come back to the same satellite channel = no signal

    Sorry, I do not use IPTV on my mio.

    I do not think that the tuner (driver), has anything to do with streaming iptv.
