Changed the title of the thread from “bouquet editor” to “What is the best way to edit iptv and satellite channels on my Vu+”.
  • https://echannelizer.com/ - E-Channelizer is paid software... it's good, but only if you pay for it... in the shareware version there is almost nothing functional... without paying you lose the best features of the application, such as IPTV support - if you want to move SRC from a satellite channel to an internet (same) channel that you added to your userbouquet

https://github.com/ctlcltd/e2-sat-editor/releases - I don't know e2 SAT editor, but it looks capable, regularly updated... it's a free application

https://dreamboxedit.com/ - Dreambox Edit is a well-known, old, very simple free userbouquet editor, which lacks advanced and complex functions, but basically you can do everything with it, if you don't use the above-mentioned IPTV services... it's not a bad application at all... the disadvantage is that the last It hasn't been updated at all for years (it looks like a dead project)

    ------------------------------

If I had to sort and summarize it, it would be like this:

    1. E-Channelizer (paid version only!)

    2. e2 SAT Editor

    3. Dreambox Edit (outdated version!)

Alternatively, you can to try all 3 applications yourself and choose the right one.

However, E-Channelizer has the most user-friendly GUI in my opinion - based on the old Dreambox Edit.

  • Unfortunately, the DBE v7.2.1 is 5 years old !!!

In the meantime, many BUGs have been found in this application, which no one has fixed.

IPTV is there, I know that because I used it for a long time, but it is not everything regarding IPTV functions. On the contrary, E-Channelizer contains absolutely everything. For example, in E-Channelizer you can take the SRC from lamedb (in the left window of E-Channelizer) by pressing a shortcut key on the PC keyboard, and transfer this SRC to the necessary Internet TV channel (IPTV) by simply inserting this SRC. And that's all. It is very simple and fast. When I used to work with IPTV user bouquets, I often needed to assign the correct SRC for IPTV services, from satellite services - I used both, but I created IPTV myself... not from commercial providers. This function is not found in E-Channelier, nor in Dreambox Edit, and I don't know the third mentioned application e2 SAT Editor that well yet.
