Hi,
Now version is 2.5.
Many thanks and appreciation to my talented friend Lululla for his efforts and help.
The plugin has been tested on Dreambox and VU+ devices, as well as on several images such as Gemini, Merlin, and OpenATV, with both Python 2 and Python 3.
A new source has been added inside the EPG plugin screen, along with some minor code improvements to enhance performance. A screenshot from the Gemini image is also attached.
I would like to remind you once again: any previous version of the plugin must be completely removed before installing the new version.
Here are the removal commands in order to ensure full cleanup of old installations:
Codeopkg remove enigma2-plugin-extensions-enigma2-plugin-extensions-epgimport opkg remove enigma2-plugin-extensions-epgimport rm -rf /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/EPGImportfor Gemini images, please avoid installing through gCommander.
To ensure a successful installation, it is recommended to use Telnet and install using the following command as shown below
Best wishes.

Hi
Did you read the error message?
How can you install a plugin without placing the plugin file in the /tmp folder?
Br
-
😜 file is in tmp is accessible and viewable on ftp.
But telnet does not see.
After I placed the thread I saw that it was n error originting from PLI.
Did everything what Gemini told me..no success.
Guess I have to reflash abackup.
-
Now I have solved the problem, was an IP issue.
Sorry for bothering and BTW thanks to the excellent update of the plugin.
(but it rewrites epgimport folder...no prob. for me though..have backup)

I’m glad the issue has been resolved.
Regarding the "" etc\epgimport \"" folder, you must keep a backup because it will be deleted if the plugin is removed.Br

Hi,
New update is now available for the EPGImport plugin,
version 2.6.
Which includes the following changes and improvements:
• Displaying the version number directly on the screen.
• Improved download mechanism and updated xmltvconverter code.
• Tested on Dreambox and VU+ devices.
• Tested on Python 2 and Python 3, with support for multiple EPG file formats.
• Successfully tested on Marlin, Gemini, and OpenATV images.
Before installation, it is recommended to remove any previous version of the plugin.
For Gemini images, please avoid installing through gCommander and use telnet instead to ensure a successful installation.
Attached is the code that confirms successful removal and installation on the Gemini image.

I installed the plugin on a new DreamOS image, following the instructions, namely with the command "dpkg -i --force-overwrite /tmp/*.deb". Upon reboot, the plugin is present in the plugin browser, but when I launch it, the plugin screens are completely transparent and not visible. I'm referring to version 2.6.
Reading the instructions after my previous post, it says not to install on GP4.2 images with gCommander. This seems to imply that the gCommander plugin has some issues. I can deny this, as I install everything with it and have never had any problems. Furthermore, the EpgImport plugin in this thread does not install in any of the ways available from the image menu, such as from Software Manager, or install local extensions. In all cases, when installing, even with the telnet command I ran, there is a reboot to avoid conflicts. There must be something strange about the plugin that's causing this behavior.
Best regards

The plugin is installed now but if I select it, nothing appears. The box doesn't crash and I can quit it using the Exit button.
But if I press the blue or the yellow button the corresponding screens appear. It seems like the main screen is only missing.
