  • We try so hard to make it work.

  • Thank you very much for the time and patience you are spending on my request.

I tested the new file, but unfortunately there was no improvement compared to the previous build. However, while testing I noticed something important in the log of the original Oscam from the receiver.

I am attaching the log from the stock Oscam.

Except for lines 13 and 14 of the file, which Const_sp and constant.cw are detected automatically, The interesting part is from 34 line to the last line of the log.

It is important to mention that the cam APK itself includes a small UI page which communicates directly with Oscam and basically does the same job as the WebIF, but with a much simpler interface. I am attaching cam.zip again so you can check the internal directories if you need more details.

I am also attaching two screenshots of this UI:

    - With the original Oscam the UI page loads completely, which means it can fully communicate with Oscam.

    - With the new Oscam it does not load correctly and only loads partially.

In the log I sent, this is explicitly mentioned as “camui”.

There are also some other log lines which I don’t fully understand, but they seem to be related to the CPU / chipset.

Internal Reader and STAPI / ALPUM

    Code
(reader) card [internal] Reader initialized (device=/dev/smc0)
    (alpum) CPU is S905
    (alpum) i2c bus dev:/dev/i2c-1
    Detected /dev/dvb0.demux0

    ✔️ Hardware reader is active

✔️ Access to the following device nodes is available:

    Code
    /dev/smc0
    /dev/dvb0.demux0
    /dev/i2c-1

This means that the build includes and successfully initializes:

    • STAPI

    • DVBAPI

    • ALPUM (Next hardware layer)

These components do not initialize on Next devices without Next-specific patches.

    6. Proprietary User Interface (CAMUI)

    Code
    (camui) Request UI configure
    (camui) Send UI config
    (camui) send version: .cfc6fdd

    This section is:

    • Completely proprietary to Next

    • Not present in the official OSCam source tree

This indicates that the OSCam binary is:

    • Patched

    • Actively communicating with a Next-specific APK or system service

In other words, this is not a standard OSCam build, but a Next-integrated OSCam with custom hardware and UI interaction layers.

  • Your detailed analysis of the original OSCam log (STAPI, ALPUM, CAMUI, etc.) really helped me understand how customized and special this build is, and why updating it is so complicated.

Even though it may not be possible to fully upgrade the original cam.apk without Next’s own patches, your tests and custom builds were extremely helpful and showed me the limits and possibilities of this box.

I truly appreciate your support, patience and the knowledge you shared. 🙏
