Octagon SF8008 HD not react

There are 6 replies in this Thread which was already clicked 862 times. The last Post () by ras.

    My Octagon SF8008 HD after reboot, does not react after 5-10 min, no network and not possibility to open / manage with remote. Only display show the clock.

    I need to restart again "off" and "on", works about 5-10 minutes and than again goes into a state "no reaction".


    Any suggestion?

    Connect the octagon to the back button and press the power button continuously to enter recovery mode to see if it responds. Upload a new image to another bootable system.

    Yes, I can install a new image without any problem. However, the decoder works only for 5–10 minutes, then it stops responding and the network goes off. Only the clock on the display is shown. I measured the power supply and it shows 12 V.

    It could be. But I see that one chip of device gets very hot. So I put a heat sink + thermal paste over that, now the Octagon is working, anyway it gets warmer than normal, therefore I switch "off" when not in use.
