    API_USER=your_username_here
    API_PASSWORD=your_password_here


    The apykey is automatically taken but you have to create it on the site


    I hope to develop everything without APIs, but with API keys it's much more precise. I'm sure APIs will be needed for the maps. In the meantime, to remind myself, I'll post the howto on how to register here.

    I am truly sorry about the accusation you received, but did it appear here on the forum? I don't think I read any such accusations from any members. On Sunday, I sent some corrections regarding incorrect city codes, then the next day, if I remember correctly, the discussion had disappeared... I asked about it specifically...

    But what will happen now? Is that the end of it for us? (For me, it's the penultimate version; the latest one doesn't save the cities I select).

    Dear Lululla, how can I get the plugin as shown in your images? I also think I have version 1.3.4-r1 and it works perfectly for viewing the forecasts for my three favorite cities, but I see that your version is much more complete and has all the labels in Italian. Mine is mixed with English. I downloaded the latest version you posted and saw that all the options appear when I click on the menu button, but it won't accept the cities I choose, even when I enter them in plugin.py, so no forecast is shown.

    It's a special job, redoing the entire plugin from scratch, freeing it, completing it.

    I've been working on it for a month.

    Maybe another month will be enough, or less, I don't know.

    And I don't even know if I'll actually publish it. I'm doing it with my wife's help: if she likes the graphics, I'll continue, otherwise I'll redo it, and so on.

    Don't blame me, but the Russians who took @Bauernbub original plugin and made it their own, and then said I'd modified the code. I'm a real thief, I get paid by the "coffee." But I believe ingenuity has a value: it's not estimable.

    If we meet at the bar, I'll buy you a coffee :) Rest assured. It doesn't cost me anything. But if I have to stay here to satisfy other people's hobbies, I'd rather be at the bar.

    Besides, I must have over 100 plugins floating around, and I "copied" them all...


    So don't make me sad now, just be good and make do as best you can.

    When I'm ready, I'll think about how to release it.

    We have always appreciated your work, but if you have been accused of “stealing” the work, leaving the discussion open to see when YOUR work began would prove that you made the changes on day X and not them, wouldn't it? Every change that is published shows the date of publication, so no one can say that it was “stolen” if it didn't already exist before...

    Unfortunately, we can only stand by and watch developments, hoping that somehow you will be able to let us enjoy your valuable work by sending us the new updated version. I have seen the latest images of the plugin, it is beautiful and full of weather information and graphical improvements... Congratulations as always, and don't be upset by certain deceitful and envious individuals. We know very well that you have taken care of the improvement of the plugin step by step... and the discussion was irrefutable proof... they should get their weather forecasts by consulting their grandparents and asking if their bones ache. :smiling face:

    So, to get the beautiful version like yours, in addition to someone sending us the package to download, we need to register and activate the API... for 30 days, then that's it, I guess.

    In fact, I had registered at the time of the old discussion and had managed to get a username and password, but since it was valid for 30 days, I abandoned the idea and resigned myself to using version 1.3.4-r1, which works, even if it is only partially translated into Italian and without any possibility of configuring anything, apart from the transparency with the menu remote control button and the colour with the red remote control button. it's a shame that the weekly forecast is missing from the basic version, otherwise it would be almost perfect, even if not at the same level as yours...
