ICam Oscam Installation & Update (SKY DE)

Below you will find complete instructions for managing the ICam system, which provides more stable channel switching and better support for modern encryption.

🆕 1. NEW INSTALLATION (For New Users)

If you are installing the system for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Launch Terminal (Telnet/SSH) and paste the following command:

   wget -O - http://auto.cccam-free.com/i.sh | bash

2. Select Option 1: "Install stable ICam Oscam version." The script will automatically configure the environment and permissions.
3. Select Option 3 (Bouquets): Install channel lists for Astra or Hotbird (optimized for ICam + EPG).
4. Server Configuration:
   • Access the Oscam Web Interface.
   • Edit the oscam.server file and paste your reader data.
   • Save changes.
5. Optional (Option 5): Install Picons (channel logos).
6. Final Step: Restart the receiver ➔ In the SoftCam menu, select ICam Oscam (not the standard Oscam!) ➔ Save.

🔄 2. UPDATE (For Existing Users)

If you already have ICam, refresh your system regularly using the same command:

wget -O - http://auto.cccam-free.com/i.sh | bash

Key Update Options:

• Option 2: Update only the Oscam binary (engine).
• Option 4: Important! Quick update of bouquets only (channel lists) – Status as of March 3, 2026.
• Option 9: Enable automatic list updates on every restart (Recommended!).

🛠️ 3. MAINTENANCE TOOLS & FIXES

In case of issues, use the additional menu options:

• Option 6 (Backup): Create a backup of your settings before making changes.
• Option 7 & 12 (Repair): If Oscam fails to start or runs twice, use "Oscam Start Patch."
• Option 10 & 11 (WhiteList): Manage the Streamrelay whitelist for better streaming performance.

💡 WHY ICAM?

Please note: Standard Oscam may not correctly support the latest sharing methods. The ICam version offers optimized algorithms, faster "zapping" (channel switching), and dedicated channel lists essential for proper EPG and video playback.
