Hello,

Thanks for your help.
I need an other way.
Hi, look here friend, it's very nice for me....
Thanks for your help.
The logo is not came back.
I don't know why.
If someone has an other way.
You probably have another problem, because this method works perfectly; otherwise, if you reflash your device with a recovery image, everything will revert to factory settings....
arthur22,
My Octagon is not under warranty;
Where I can find a recovery image ?
I have tried to restore the original logo and not the three logos jpg attached files.
Where I must put one of your logos ?
Perhaps it will work with one of your logos.
It seems you're not familiar with this device... Keep in mind that flashing it with a recovery image will erase everything; your Octagon will revert to factory settings, and then you'll need to install an image like OpenATV 7.6 recovery... You need a tutorial to learn how to do it...
Thanks for your help.
I flashed the Octagon with a recovery image with openatv and defineos but the logo is not came back.
It erase all each time you are right.
If I have time I will try to flash it with the openatv recovery image you show me but without conviction.
I think the logo is lost for ever. That is life.
Hi, here's what AI says about your problem, personally I don't have the solution, I've never encountered this problem....
On the Octagon SF8008, the disappearance of the splash screen (the "Octagon" logo that appears immediately upon startup) following a recovery flash is often linked to the corruption of a specific partition or the use of an incomplete flash file.
Here are the steps to restore your original boot logo:
1. Perform a "Full Recovery" using the `recovery_emmc.zip` file.
A standard flash of an Enigma 2 image does not always overwrite the low-level partitions where the splash screen is stored.
Download: Download the specific image file named `recovery_emmc.zip` (rather than a standard update image) from the website of your preferred image provider (e.g., OpenATV).
USB Preparation: Format a USB flash drive to FAT32 and extract the archive contents to the root directory. You should end up with a folder named `octagon` and a file named `usb_update.bin`.
Flashing Procedure:
Turn off the receiver using the power switch located on the back panel.
Insert the USB drive into the USB 3.0 port (the blue port, located on the side).
Press and hold the Standby button located on the front panel.
Turn on the rear power switch while continuing to hold down the Standby button until "Updt" appears on the front display panel.
In the Recovery menu that appears on your TV screen, select "Recovery From USB".
Please try this
Octagon SF8008, SF8008mini, SF8008gold 1.Change start/boot logo:
A USB stick is required. The usb_update.bin file is copied to this in the main directory.
Switch off the receiver at the back.
Insert the USB stick into the side of the box.
Start the box and keep the standby button pressed. Box boots into maintenance mode
Now select "Recovery from USB" in the old recovery menu and wait until the flash process is complete.
In the new recovery menu, this item is called "Flash Recovery Image"
Reboot receiver enjoy new boot logo
If I use the usb_update.bin alone, I get the interface with "Flash Recovery Image" but nothing happens.
Try this:
Install factory settings.
Then you can install OpenATV online
My friends,
You have knowledge and skill.
My Octagon certainly cannot be repaired.
Thanks for your help.
I give up the Octagon.
If you need something, I can try to help you.
