Hi everyone,
I’d like to share my Enigma2 Remote Control integration for Home Assistant, available via HACS:
- Full remote-style Lovelace card for Enigma2 boxes
- Control power, volume, navigation, EPG, recordings, and more directly from Home Assistant
- Native look & feel with Material Design Icons and proper branding
What’s new recently (stable releases)
Improved Lovelace card layout
- Standby options can be toggled in the visual editor (Power Off / Restart / Wake Up / Standby), while the main “Toggle Standby” button is always visible
- EPG moved into the CH/VOL grid; History now in the main function row alongside LIST and TXT
- TV moved into an “extras” row (PVR | TV | Radio | Help) for a cleaner layout
- A dedicated always-visible transport row (Skip Back / Record / Stop / Skip Forward), with a record button styled like a classic remote (white with a red dot)
- Extras reorganised into logical groups (TXT/Audio/Sub/Video, PVR/TV/Radio/Help, Setup/Portal/Sleep/Timer, F1/F2, Back/Opt/Context/Aspect)
Consistent icons & branding
- All buttons now use SVG-based Material Design Icons via
ha-icon(no OS-dependent emojis) - The integration ships its own icon and logo via the Home Assistant Brands Proxy API (light/dark and @2x variants, requires HA 2026.3+)
Installation
- Install via HACS → Integrations → Enigma2 Remote Control.
- Add the card to your dashboard via the Lovelace visual editor or YAML.
If you’re using Enigma2 with Home Assistant, I’d be happy to hear feedback on the layout, the choice of buttons and any additional functions you’d like to see exposed.
