    Enigma2 images allow you to install image files from your device, as well as download and install images from the internet, through the software management menu. However, if you are installing an image from the internet, this menu only allows you to access and install images specific to your device, for example, if you are using OpenATV. The plugin I'm providing gives you more freedom in this regard.

    You can download and install any image suitable for your device from the internet by adding the link(s) to the Images.txt file included with the plugin. You can see me running the plugin on my own device in the video. The plugin downloads the file from the link of the image you choose to your device's /media/hdd/images/tmp_flash folder, then unzips the zip file and installs it to the slot you selected on your device.

    As you'll see in the video, the installation automatically deletes the unzipped files when it's finished. However, it will ask if you want to delete the image.zip file it downloaded to the /media/hdd/images/tmp_flash folder. If you answer yes, it will delete that as well. If you want to use the downloaded file later, you can answer no and keep the image.zip file in the tmp_flash folder.

    You can add a link to the images.text file as follows: Let's assume your device is not the SF8008 or Novaler listed, for example, the sx88v2. You can add the following line to any part of the file, for example, at the very top:

    [===================OCTAGON SX88V2==================] to add your device name.

    Immediately below this, you write a name for the link to the image file on the internet; this name will appear in the plugin instead of the link. Example: OpenATV 7.6 enigma2

    You must write the link next to the name. Example: https://image.mynonpublic.com/…6/current.php?open=sx88v2

    There is one thing you must do, and this is very important and should not be forgotten. You must add two equals symbols (=) between the name and the link.

    Accordingly, when you write it, the line related to your image file will appear in the file as follows: OpenATV 7.6 enigma2==https://image.mynonpublic.com/openatv/7.6/current.php?open=sx88v2

    The section related to your device will look like this:

    [==================OCTAGON SX88V2==================]

    OpenATV 7.6 enigma2==https://image.mynonpublic.com/openatv/7.6/current.php?open=sx88v2

    I am working to improve the plugin. In future versions, you will not be dependent on this file. The plugin will automatically detect your device model and list images suitable for your device from an online source, or provide you with a list of devices, allowing you to select your device and install the images.

    I am testing this new version and fixing any problems and shortcomings.
