One more thing to consider (a repost from the "How to thread for Zgemmas"...
Last night @delfi and I re-did our Zgemmas H17 Combo from scratch, with RECOVERY files...
@delfi told me he is coming back to the hobby after real life interfered and he is usually as good as his word...
Here they are (not all yet - I think 4 more Zgemma STBs need a newer one but...):
pur-e2.club/OU/images/index.php?dir=7.6/airdigital/RECOVERY/
The procedure is the same as with H7, except that the little black button is at the back, tucked away awkwardly... It may be a bit unpleasant, even a bit painful but make sure you really press it well, properly and hold it later on!
So, if you follow the PROCEDURE below you will get a really good result:
-get the RECOVERY FILE from the above link and
-unzip it to a small compatible USB stick (old slow ones, 2 - 8GB usually work best)
-switch off your Zgemma H17 (make backups of your crucial files before that...)
-plug in your USB stick with nothing on it except the UNZIPPED RECOVERY FILE (unplug other devices, btw)
-press the little BLACK RESET button at the back and HOLD IT
-press the WHITE POWER button at the back to power up the box
-wait for the FLSH written on the front display of your Zgemma H17
-now let go of the little black RESET button at the back and
-wait (it will last a bit...)...
We got much better results, as this new RECOVERY ERASES EVERYTHING on the Zgemma H17 nand and REPARTITIONS IT ALL OVER AGAIN!!!
One gets 8 x 2 partitions now!!!
DO NOT FLASH OLD (7.4 etc.) IMAGES INTO YOUR ZGEMMA H17 ANY MORE, THERE MAY BE INCOMPATIBILITIES WHICH MAY RENDER YOUR BOX "CONFUSED", SLOW TO ACCEPT COMMANDS etc. etc.
Good luck!
P.S. The first time I did the Recovery file I didn't manage straight away. I succeeded on third attempt. Keep going!
